Asparagus Fern (Asparagus densiflorus) is a tough, versatile, and highly attractive trailing evergreen perennial, prized for its feathery, delicate, bright-green foliage that resembles true ferns (though it is not a fern). It is an incredibly resilient ground cover that forms dense, cascading mounds, making it excellent for suppressing weeds. It also looks spectacular cascading over retaining walls, trailing from hanging baskets, and softening the edges of large containers. Drought-tolerant once established, it brings a lush, soft texture to both sun and partial shade garden areas.
