Kikuyu grass (Pennisetum clandestinum) is a very fast-growing lawn grass that is common in Kenya. It has dark green leaves with a blunt apex. In cold areas, Kikuyu grass forms a dense sod. It spreads by stolons which root as they radiate from the main bunch.
