In winter and spring, it erupts in a delicate haze of tiny, star-shaped, pale pink-to-white flowers, transforming the garden floor. It is remarkably shade-tolerant for a succulent, making it one of the best ground covers for dry, shaded areas under trees where little else will grow, while also performing well in sun.
