African Daisy (Osteospermum)

Osteospermum, the African Daisy or Cape Daisy, is a cheerful, sun-loving, profusely flowering perennial that produces an abundance of large, classic daisy flowers with distinctive spoon-shaped or flat petals in shades of white, yellow, orange, pink, purple, and stunning bicolours with contrasting dark centres. It thrives in full sun and tolerates dry conditions well once established. It is an outstanding plant for garden borders, low mass planting, containers, and as a colourful edging plant. Its long flowering season, from spring through autumn, makes it one of the most reliable garden performers.
