Pink Water Lily

The Pink Water Lily (Nymphaea species) is a tropical aquatic perennial celebrated for its exquisite, cup-shaped blooms ranging from soft blush-pink to deep rose. It grows from thick underground rhizomes and produces large, waxy floating lily pads that provide vital shade and shelter for fish and other aquatic life, helping regulate water temperature and reduce algal blooms. Thriving in full sun with at least 5–6 hours of direct sunlight, it prefers calm, still water and is best planted in aquatic baskets using heavy, loamy soil. A must-have centrepiece for garden ponds and decorative water features across Kenya.
